This page explains which cookies Sailnboat OÜ uses and why. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others are optional and only set if you agree.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These cannot be switched off. They do not track you and are not used for advertising.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sailnboat_session |
Keeps your session while you browse — search filters, form state, login where applicable | Session (deleted when you close the browser) |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. A security measure, not tracking | Session |
locale |
Remembers the language you chose | 1 year |
sn_consent |
Records your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every page | 6 months |
Analytics
These are set only if you accept them. They are switched off until you do, and rejecting them costs you nothing on this site.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sn_v |
Recognises the same browser across visits, so that a search you made as a guest can be connected to your account if you register later. Set only with your consent | 6 months |
_ym_uid, _ym_d |
Yandex Metrica: recognises the same browser across visits and stores the date of the first visit | 1 year |
_ym_isad |
Yandex Metrica: detects whether an ad blocker is active | 20 hours |
_ym_visorc |
Yandex Metrica: makes session replay work | 30 minutes |
During the launch period of the site we use Yandex Metrica, a web analytics service provided by Yandex, for every visitor from the first page — unlike the other cookies in this table, it does not wait for your choice in the cookie banner. It records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, including session replay — so we can find and fix errors. It sets the Yandex Metrica cookies above on our domain, plus its own cookies such as yandexuid on Yandex domains. Yandex lists all of them here. Once the launch period ends, it will again run only with your consent.
What this cookie changes is memory across visits, not measurement. We already record how long you spend on a page, how far you scroll and which yachts you open — that happens inside a single visit, sets no cookie of its own and ends when the visit ends. What you are agreeing to here is that we may recognise the same browser next time, so a search you made last season is still there when you come back.
Apart from Yandex Metrica, we use no third-party analytics service. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no advertising tag on this site.
Measurement that does not use cookies
Whether or not you consent, we count page views and searches in a form that does not identify you and does not set any cookie of its own. We do this to find searches that return nothing, so we know which yachts our customers want and we do not have.
We also record the IP address of requests to keep the site secure — to investigate abuse, fraud, scraping and faults. It is kept while it is useful for that, and longer where an investigation or a legal claim is open.
Advertising
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not share browsing data with advertising networks.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — it is as easy as giving it. Use , choose again, and the change takes effect immediately. Withdrawing consent deletes the sn_v cookie and stops the measurement it enables; it does not undo measurement already carried out.
Third-party content
Yacht photographs are currently served from our supplier's servers. Loading them transmits your IP address to that server, as with any embedded image on the web. We are migrating these images to our own domain, which will remove that transfer.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the site — searches and forms will stop working correctly.
