About the Leopard 42
The Leopard 42 brings the Robertson and Caine formula down to the size most charter crews actually book. Same Cape Town yard, same Simonis hulls, same charter-first thinking — and the same forward cockpit that separates these boats from almost everything else in a fleet.
At this length the forward cockpit matters more rather than less. On a 42-foot catamaran the aft cockpit is a defined size, and when eight people are aboard it fills up. Having a second shaded seating area ahead of the saloon, reached through a door rather than round the side deck, is the difference between a crowded boat and a comfortable one.
It also sails better than its reputation. Charter catamarans are assumed to be floating apartments; this one holds a course and goes where you point it.

Cancellation & payment
Cancellation policy
Cancellation terms are set by the charter operator. We confirm them for this yacht in writing with your offer, within 48 hours of your request — before any payment.
Split payment
You pay 30% when the booking is confirmed and the balance before check-in. Fees collected by the operator on arrival are listed separately, so nothing is a surprise at the marina.
Security deposit
A refundable deposit of 7,600 EUR is blocked at check-in, or you can pay a non-refundable waiver of 1,037 EUR instead.
Frequently asked questions
For bareboat charter the skipper on board needs a recognised sailing license and, in most countries, a VHF certificate. If nobody in your group is licensed, book the yacht with a professional skipper.
Charter weeks normally run Saturday to Saturday, with check-in in the afternoon and check-out in the morning at the home base (Wickhams Cay II Marina).
Cross-border sailing is often possible with prior notice and additional paperwork. Ask us before booking so the operator can prepare the documents.
Fuel is normally paid on a tank-to-tank basis: you receive the yacht with a full tank and return it full.
